Why I Do What I Do
My work is deeply rooted in my own journey. I know what it’s like to feel trapped by the weight of trauma and the voice of self-criticism. Growing up in a home marred by dysfunction and abuse, I carried the burden of low self-worth for many years. But I also know that healing is possible. Through positive psychology, I found the courage to face my past, successfully prosecute my childhood abuser, and rebuild my life. I survived two abusive marriages and breast cancer—twice—but I emerged stronger, happier, and more at peace with myself. Today, I am happily married and the proud parent of two wonderful adult children.
This personal journey fuels my passion for helping others reclaim their lives, no matter what they’ve been through.
